i gave a talk at 42 berlin

a few days ago i gave a talk at 42 berlin—the same school where andré and i met at the lisbon campus 2.5 years ago.

the first day we hung out we said that we both want to create a company one day.

it's pretty crazy to think that now, we're building voena, we're live in a clinic, launching a big one next and raising a pre-seed.

in my talk i tried to share some of the things i learned building artha labs and voena:

→ it's one of the best times for software engineers to become founders. one can build much more in less time with a lean team

→ founding is hard: there's an endless amount of problems to solve, pressure, and responsibility

→ founding is somehow also easier than you'd expect: what seemed impossible in the beginning is now quite normal, like building partnerships with the biggest software companies in portugal in our field or pitching to the best dentists in the world

huge thanks to the 42 berlin team for having me. and to the students for asking lots of good questions.
